An outbuilding is any permanent structure within the boundary of your home - this can include sheds, garages, summerhouses, greenhouses and guest houses. For buildings cover, you’ll need to ensure that your building sum insured is sufficient to cover the cost of rebuilding your home AND your outbuildings too. For contents cover, our policy will provide cover as standard up to £5,000 in an outbuilding.
Cover is excluded if you have a garage or shed not within the boundary of your property.
