What happens if I miss a payment?

If you miss a payment, it’s important that you contact your credit provider as soon as possible.

If your finance provider is Close Brothers, please call them on 0333 321 8566 (open 24 hours a day, seven days a week) or visit their online portal to make the missed payment. Please note, Close Brothers reserve the right to charge a fee of up to £30 for any unsuccessful collection of a monthly instalment.

If your finance provider is PremFina, you will have received notice by post and email explaining the reason your payment could not be collected and what your available options are.

If you need to make a payment for a missed Direct Debit, the simplest way to do this is to go to www.premfina.com and use the ‘Payments’ button on the right-hand side of the home page. You’ll need your agreement number (which you can find on the missed payment notice sent to you in the post) and your last name.

You can also contact them via live chat on their website, email on customers@premfina.com or by phone on 0330 165 9367 (chat and phone are open 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday).

If you don’t pay a missed direct debit or continue to miss payments, your debt may be passed onto a debt collection agency. Should this happen, your credit score may be affected which may affect your ability to take out loans or other financial services in the future. If you do miss a payment, we will let you know through email, so it’s important you have access to the email address registered with your policy.

If you miss direct debits for your insurance, your policy may also be cancelled and you may be charged a cancellation fee as well as costs for your time on cover. You will also lose any no claims discount you may have built up during your policy, meaning your no claims discount will revert to the amount it was before you began your iGO4 policy.

Struggling with your monthly payments?

Please get in touch with your finance provider via one of the methods above and they will do their best to help you and come to a solution that works for you.
